All set for monza

After a few days of winter testing, Carlo took part in the Formula X “Coppa Italia” in Varano with his team Corbetta Racing. This race weekend was used to prepare in the best way for the first round in Monza and to collect the first trophies of the 2021 season. After Friday's free practice on a dry track, Carlo took part in Saturday's qualifying on a damp track because of the rain that fell that morning. He had to choose together with his team between rain and slick tyres. Thanks also to the choice of dry tyres he took third place overall, missing the front row only because of a yellow flag on his fastest lap. Both race 1 and race 2 took place under the rain and Carlo managed to take a third and a second place overall, winning both races in the Formula 4 category. The absence of the self-locking differential made driving in the rain even more challenging compared to his rivals, but Carlo didn’t make any big mistakes and his intelligent driving paid off. It was therefore an excellent weekend of preparation for Monza, in which Carlo was able to further improve his driving, especially on a wet track. Now we just have to wait until 1-2 May for the ACI Racing Weekend in Monza!
