Carlo took part in the last round of the Coppa Italia Turismo 2021 on the historic track of Monza. At his debut on a front wheel drive car, the 16 year old driver of the MM Driving Academy literally dominated the weekend, finishing P1 in the three free practice sessions, taking pole position and winning both races. From FP1, Carlo made his intentions clear, demonstrating an extraordinary ability and speed of adaptation to the track and the car. This is how he commented on the weekend: "I'm very happy with all the work done. We arrived at the race well prepared and this allowed us to start the weekend in the right way in the free practice sessions. In qualifying I got the pole position and that was the result of a lot of work, session after session, to improve my driving and the car setup. Sunday's races were held in difficult conditions where I had no experience with a TCR. In race 1 I started from pole position, I didn't risk too much and not making any mistakes guaranteed me to cross the finish line in first position after a good battle in the final laps. In race 2, on the other hand, I had a slightly different approach, since with the grid reversed I started from seventh position. Race 1 had given me more confidence in wet conditions and I knew that in the early stages I could recover some positions with aggressiveness and taking advantage of the mistakes of my opponents. In the following laps I pushed to the limit and with a great pace I took the lead of the race creating a gap that allowed me to complete the last laps without taking any risks. All this was made possible by the team that has put me in the best conditions to showcase my talent and speed. A big thank you goes to the team principal Emanuele, to the mechanics, my track engineer and my great coach Franco but also to my family that always supports me". The next race is going to take place in Vallelunga, penultimate round of the TopJet FX championship, in which Carlo is fighting for the F4 title.
