complicated weekend in monza

After several months of waiting, it was finally time to race in the "Temple of Speed". The week started on Monday with a day of testing together with the best Formula 4 drivers, including two sons of former Formula 1 drivers, Wurz and Montoya. The actual race weekend, however, started on Friday. After two free practice sessions, it was time for qualifying. Half an hour of rain just before the session made the track wet and slippery, so Carlo decided not to take too many risks, but still managed to get a good starting position for Saturday's and Sunday's race. The chance of a good finish in race 1 disappeared in the very early stages of the race when Carlo made a mistake in the clutch dosage during the start procedure, causing the car to stall. A mistake that can happen among young drivers with little experience in standing starts. Nevertheless, Carlo tried to take advantage of his speed to make a comeback, but lost precious time behind the safety car, which forced him to settle for third place in Formula 4. Race 2 started well, with Carlo fighting for the win in FX2. However, while trying to overtake another car, the young driver hit a piece of debris which crashed right into the area where the electrical box is located, causing the car to shut down. Carlo was certainly expecting more, but even weekends like this are necessary to gain experience.
